Dennis Fast > KIRTLAND'S WARBLER The Kirtland's Warbler is one of the rarest birds in North America. Most of the 400-500 pairs nest in Michigan, but a few have been found nesting in Canada. This bird appeared at Point Pelee National Park in Ontario for a few days several years ago and put on a great show for birders and photographers alike.
Dennis Fast > MALE PROTHONOTARY WARBLER The Prothonotary Warbler barely makes it into Canada, and is considered a declining and threatened species. It prefers the Carolinian woods and swamps of extreme Southern Ontario, and can be found there at Point Pelee National Park and Rondeau Provincial Park.
